But Charlie LOVES Halloween, and each year I love it more, too. His excitement is infectious.
We went to our ward Trunk-or-Treat party, where I showed the kids how weird cool I am by dressing up in my unicorn pajama onesie. One girl followed me around, exclaiming about magical unicorns and giving me hugs and feeling how soft the costume's "fur" was. #BFFs
Charlie picked his own costume, out of dozens of ideas. He dressed up as a waffle (his current favorite food) and wore that thing proudly.
Greg was Quicksilver from XMen, and although the pictures might not do it justice, he had legit silver hair. And I was surprised by how many people actually understood his costume.

Then on actual Halloween we went trick-or-treating in the neighborhood, and it was soooooo fun. Some of the people in the neighborhood take Halloween really seriously, and transform their houses into veritable works of art.
The best house in the neighborhood was a pirate ship, complete with skeleton pirates all over the yard.

Our little buddy was a trooper! He got to go to all of his favorite houses in the neighborhood, and contentedly asked us to take him home when he was ready to be all done.
Thanks for helping us have a great Halloween, Charlie Man!

You all are so adorable! And your unicorn PJ's are perfect!! And you weren't kidding about the pirate house! LEGIT!
